In 1994, a dozen women created a store selling donated and consigned home furnishings to benefit The Wellness Community, now known as Cancer Support Community of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Located in a tiny shop off of Hyde Park Square, Legacies quickly gained a reputation for reasonably-priced high-end merchandise benefiting a great cause.
Be sure to check out our the official Legacies Facebook page for news, sales, promotions and exclusive items for sale.
In 2002, Legacies moved to Hyde Park Plaza and in 2009, to its present location with over 10,000 square feet of display area, plus increased storage and office space.
In 2013, Legacies contributed over $204,000 to CSC and is on track to increase that contribution in 2014. Legacies maintains its commitment to selling high-quality furniture, home accessories and jewelry by advocating for donations and consignments.

Where can you Find Great Vintage Jewelry in Cincinnati?
Vintage (over 50 years old) and antique (over 100 years old) jewelry is enjoying a comeback. People like it for the price, of course: while well-crafted older rings, necklaces and bracelets made from quality materials are look like new, you may only pay 30-50% of the original price at a secondhand shop like Legacies Upscale Resale. Style is another reason people shop vintage: before machine- and laser-cutting, gems were cut by hand, and each stone was one-of-a-kind. Many timeless designs never went out of style, while others have gone out and come back in. Fine jewelry ages well if properly maintained. Platinum’s patina actually becomes more prominent the older the piece. When buying pre-owned or consignment, you are purchasing something special. Older pieces have personality rarely found in new jewelry, even at top prices. You can’t replicate the panache of a piece of jewelry worn and loved by generations.
