Charitable Donations in Cincinnati? Give Back While You Shop at Legacies Upscale Resale
Legacies is Cincinnati’s premiere consignment shop. Even better, each purchase helps people affected by cancer and their families. Because we donate at least half of each sale to Cancer Support Community of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky (CSC), our guests make charitable contributions with every second-hand treasure they find!
In 1994, a dozen women opened a store selling donated and consigned home furnishings to benefit The Wellness Community, which became CSC.
From a tiny shop off Hyde Park Square, we quickly gained a reputation for reasonably-priced, high-end merchandise benefiting a great cause.
In 2002, we moved to Hyde Park Plaza, and in 2009, to our present location with over 10,000 square feet of display space.
We love being able to give well-made, good-condition items a second life, while helping people cope with a difficult illness.
Legacies provides a way for Cincinnatians to help others through an exciting shopping experience that often pays off with a great bargain!

How Your Donations, Consignments and Purchases Help Others
Legacies contributes over $200,000 to CSC annually. Those monies come from
- Donated items (100% of our income when donations sell goes to CSC) and
- Consignments (We split the income when consignments sell between consignors and CSC).
Our sales staff is all volunteer, so we have very little overhead.
If you are downsizing, relocating or redecorating, Legacies is the ideal place to recycle your furnishings—and maybe find fresh new ones!
Every time you donate, consign or buy, you are helping people affected by cancer.
About Cancer Support Community
CSC offers over 200 programs each month in a comfortable, home-like environment at CSC’s Lynn Stern Center in Blue Ash, a Northern Kentucky facility located within the St. Elizabeth Cancer Center in Edgewood, KY, and an Eastgate location within the Mercy Health Medical Center.

All programs – including professionally-led support groups, educational workshops and healthy lifestyle classes — are designed to complement conventional medical care and are provided at no charge.
When You Take a Treasure Home from Legacies, You Leave a Contribution to Neighbors in Need
There are many valuable ways to donate to Cincinnati charities, but Legacies is one of the most enjoyable! And if you live near Hyde Park, this wonderful means of making a monetary contribution is close by.
The people served by CSC are residents of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, so your Cincinnati charitable gifts via Legacies go right back into the local community.
They say to give is to receive. At Legacies, that is literally true!
You give to neighbors in need by offering or purchasing a table, lamp, kitchen accessory, watch, fur coat, scarf or brooch. Whether you receive your portion of the sale via consignment, or take home an addition to your home or wardrobe, you win!
