The mission of Legacies started 20 years ago with a group of 12 intrepid women who transformed the idea of Lynn Stern into the reality it is today. It’s been a fantastic journey so far and we thank everyone who has been a part of it. Here are some stats to ponder:
Over $2.6 million contributed to Cancer Support Community of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky
From 20 volunteers in 1994 to over 100 in 2014. Our volunteers come from all over Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky
Recognition from Cincinnati Magazine, City Beat, WCPO, Cincinnati Association of Volunteer Administrators, Hamilton County Commissioner Chris Monzell.
Here are a few pictures from the original Legacies on Michigan Avenue off of Hyde Park square (1994), with less than 3,000 square feet, maybe three parking spaces and storage space down a steep flight of stairs. Also pictured is the Helping Hand Award we were honored to receive this year. We have come a long way and are excited about what the future holds!
